2026-06-30T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Medihealth: Jurnal Ilmu Kesehatan dan Sainshttps://jurnal-ikmb.id/index.php/Medihealth/article/view/126PENGARUH PEMBERIAN JUS JERUK MANIS PACITAN (CITRUS SINENSIS) TERHADAP NILAI VO2MAX PADA ATLET FUTSAL DI SEKOLAH MENENGAH ATAS NEGERI 16 BATAM2026-08-04T13:20:25+07:00Miftah Asyrararaasyra123@gmail.comHervianaviviiherviana@gmail.comAmalina Rizmalinarizma@gmail.com
Low aerobic capacity in futsal athletes, reflected by poor VO2Max levels, impairs performance during training and matches. VO2Max measures the body's maximum oxygen consumption during intense physical activity (ml/kg/min), where higher values indicate superior aerobic energy production. Baseline data revealed that most futsal athletes had poor-to-moderate VO2Max, reducing endurance and highlighting the need for effective, safe, and practical nutritional interventions. Pacitan sweet orange (Citrus sinensis) contains glucose, vitamin C, and potassium, which support energy, reduce oxidative stress, and maintain muscle and heart function. This study aims to analyze the effect of Pacitan sweet orange juice on VO2Max levels in futsal athletes. A quasi-experimental pretest–posttest without control group design was conducted using total sampling (n = 15 athletes). The intervention consisted of consuming 300 ml of sweet orange juice once daily for 7 days. VO2Max was measured using the Balke Test before and after the intervention. Data normality was assessed with the Shapiro-Wilk test, followed by a paired t-test to evaluate VO2Max differences. The results showed a significant increase in VO2Max from 45.27 ± 4.81 ml/kg/min to 52.59 ± 3.16 ml/kg/min, with a mean difference of 7.32 ± 2.93 ml/kg/min (p = 0.001, p < 0.05). In conclusion, consuming Pacitan sweet orange juice for 7 days effectively improves aerobic capacity in futsal athletes, demonstrating potential as a practical, affordable natural beverage to support physical performance.
2026-06-30T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Medihealth: Jurnal Ilmu Kesehatan dan Sainshttps://jurnal-ikmb.id/index.php/Medihealth/article/view/136FERRITIN AS A BIOMARKER OF INFLAMMATION AND IRON METABOLISM IN PEOPLE LIVING WITH HIV: CURRENT CLINICAL EVIDENCE2026-08-05T14:07:49+07:00Sri Tati Rukiyanisritatirukiyani@gmail.comRunditorundito73@gmail.comSindy Nurafiasindy.nurafia@gmail.comTonny Yuliantodr.toni8471@gmail.comFarras Arlinda Rachmawatiarlindafarras@gmail.comYenni Apriana Wulandariyenni.wulandari@unsoed.ac.idDandy Citradandycmail@gmail.comNorma Hanifah Sumartanorma.hanifah12@gmail.com
Ferritin is a widely used biomarker of iron storage and has an important role in the assessment of iron metabolism. However, ferritin is also an acute-phase protein whose concentration may increase in response to inflammation, infection, and immune activation. These characteristics are particularly relevant in people living with human immunodeficiency virus, who may experience persistent immune activation and chronic inflammation even in the presence of effective antiretroviral therapy. This review examines the current
evidence regarding the role of ferritin as a biomarker of inflammation and iron metabolism in people living with human immunodeficiency virus. This narrative review was conducted through literature searches in PubMed/MEDLINE and Scopus using keywords related to HIV, ferritin, inflammation, iron metabolism, hepcidin, anemia, and antiretroviral therapy. Relevant publications were screened based on their relevance to ferritin, inflammation, and iron homeostasis in people living with HIV. A total of 14 relevant articles were included in the narrative synthesis. Current evidence indicates that ferritin concentrations may reflect a complex interaction between iron stores, inflammation, immune activation, nutritional status, and treatmentrelated factors. Therefore, elevated ferritin should not be interpreted solely as evidence of increased iron stores, particularly in the presence of chronic inflammation. Understanding the biological context of ferritin measurement may improve its interpretation and support more appropriate assessment of iron status and inflammatory conditions in people living with human immunodeficiency virus.
2026-06-30T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Medihealth: Jurnal Ilmu Kesehatan dan Sainshttps://jurnal-ikmb.id/index.php/Medihealth/article/view/122FORMULASI DAN EVALUASI SEDIAAN CLEANSING OIL MINYAK BIJI BUNGA MATAHARI (HELIANTHUS ANNUS L.) This study aims to determine the effect of varying concentrations of decyl glucoside on the physical stability and irritation potential of sunflower seed oil-based cleansing oil preparations. The research was conducted experimentally with five formulas containing decyl glucoside at concentrations of 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, and 10% with a fixed oil composition. The preparations were evaluated based on organoleptic properties, pH value, homogeneity, viscosity, stability (cycling test), cleansing power, and irritation potential. The research results show that the increase in surfactant concentration affects the pH value, viscosity, and organoleptic stability of the preparation. The pH value increased with the concentration of surfactant up to 8.7 at the highest concentration (10%), while the viscosity value increased from the range of 315.32–400.46 cP to 321.47–456.97 cP after stability testing due to the weakening of surfactant strength and the formation of droplet aggregates. All formulas showed good cleansing power and did not show any signs of irritation based on the human patch test method conducted. Formula F1 with a concentration of 2% decyl glucoside shows the best stability because it does not experience changes in color, odor, phase separation, or sediment formation during the stability test. In conclusion, the surfactant concentration affects the pH value, viscosity, and stability of the cleansing oil preparation, and the use of decyl glucoside is considered not to have the potential to cause skin irritation in the applied testing method. It is recommended to conduct further research to optimize the formulation and evaluate the safety and effectiveness of long-term use.
2026-06-30T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Medihealth: Jurnal Ilmu Kesehatan dan Sainshttps://jurnal-ikmb.id/index.php/Medihealth/article/view/132FOOD QUALITY ASSESSMENT AND ITS ASSOCIATION WITH VEGETABLE PLATE WASTE IN THE FREE NUTRITIOUS MEAL PROGRAM AT SMP NEGERI 30 BATAM2026-07-29T11:36:15+07:00Laras Endah Wurianiendahwurianilaras@gmail.comHaqqelni nur rosyidah S.Gz.,M.Keshaqqelnin@gmail.comDesy Dr. Desy, S.S., M.Pd.dhephoy02@gmail.com
The Free Nutritious Meal Program (Program Makan Bergizi Gratis/MBG) is an initiative to provide meals for students in order to meet their nutritional needs in accordance with health standards and local dietary habits. Early recognition of developmental delays is essential for timely intervention; however, parents' recognition of speech and language problems is often influenced by cultural beliefs and social norms. This study aimed to explore cultural beliefs contributing to delayed recognition of speech and language development among parents of young children. A qualitative exploratory study was conducted among parents of children under five years of age in coastal communities in Batam City, Indonesia. Data were collected through in-depth interviews using purposive sampling. Additional perspectives were obtained from midwives and community health volunteers involved in child developmental monitoring. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify recurring patterns and meanings related to parental beliefs and developmental recognition. Five major themes emerged: (1) speech delay perceived as a normal developmental variation, (2) belief that children will eventually speak without intervention, (3)
influence of family traditions and intergenerational advice, (4) limited awareness of speech and language developmental milestones, and (5) delayed healthcare-seeking behavior. These beliefs often reduced parental concern regarding developmental delays and contributed to delayed utilization of developmental screening and health services. Cultural beliefs play an important role in shaping parents' understanding of speech and language development. Misconceptions regarding normal developmental patterns may hinder early recognition and intervention. Strengthening culturally sensitive parent education and empowerment programs is necessary
to improve awareness of developmental milestones and promote timely access to developmental screening services.
2026-06-30T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Medihealth: Jurnal Ilmu Kesehatan dan Sains
