Penguatan Pencegahan Kanker Serviks melalui Program Vaksinasi HPV Tiga Dosis di Institut Kesehatan Mitra Bunda
Abstract
Cervical cancer is closely associated with Human Papillomavirus (HPV) infection, making HPV vaccination an important primary prevention strategy. A community service program at Mitra Bunda Institute of Health, Batam, was conducted through three vaccination periods on February 6–8, April 17–19, and July 17–19, 2026, targeting members of the academic community and the general public who met the eligibility requirements. Activities included registration, screening, education, vaccination, post-vaccination observation, and evaluation. Data were analyzed descriptively based on vaccination records. The number of recorded vaccine recipients was 128 in the first period, 303 in the second, and 352 in the third. Regular vaccination services supported expanded access to HPV vaccination; however, individual records across periods were insufficient to optimally monitor dose continuity. Sustained HPV vaccination programs can strengthen primary prevention of cervical cancer, with improved record-keeping, scheduling, and participant follow-up needed to enhance vaccination continuity and program evaluation.
