EVALUASI SISTEM PENDISTRIBUSIAN SEDIAAN FARMASI DAN ALAT KESEHATAN DI PBF MILLENNIUM PHARMACON INTERNATIONAL (MPI) KOTA BATAM
Abstract
The distribution of pharmaceutical preparations and medical devices is an essential component in ensuring product quality, safety, and effectiveness until they reach end users. pharmaceutical wholesalers are required to implement good distribution practices for pharmaceuticals and medical devices to ensure proper distribution processes. this study aims to evaluate the distribution system of pharmaceutical preparations and medical devices at pbf millennium pharmacon international in batam city and to assess its compliance with good distribution practices for pharmaceuticals and medical devices standards. the research method used was descriptive with a qualitative approach, conducted through observation, interviews, and document review, involving 25 respondents. the results showed that the distribution system at pharmaceutical wholesalers millennium pharmacon international batam city has generally been implemented well. this is indicated by the scores in each aspect, namely identification of distribution implementation at 87% (very good), suitability of the distribution system at 74.7% (good), analysis of operational constraints at 71% (good), evaluation of human resources and facilities at 80.4% (very good), and improvement recommendations at 78.4% (good). overall, the distribution system has met the good distribution practices for pharmaceuticals and medical devices standards, although improvements are still needed in several aspects to achieve more optimal and consistent implementation.
